Black Bear Ridge is located in Located at the Gateway to the beautiful Ozark National Scenic Riverways in South Central Missouri.
We are dedicated to raising beautiful, multi-talented, all-purpose yellow AKC Labrador Retrievers. We breed for show, companion, hunting, and obedience, as well as assist dogs, from outstanding show champion, and AKC hunting titled pedigrees combining the finest Swedish, New Zealand, & English bloodlines.
Our primary objective is the improvement of the breed through selective
breeding and correct conformation and by producing healthy Labradors that excel
in type, temperament, and trainability. Our pups have beautiful heads, lots of
bone, excellent coats, are intelligent, very personable with super dispositions.
While a small kennel, we have been breeding quality Labradors for over 30 years
producing only one or two carefully considered litters per year. We have puppies
available to exceptional loving homes where they can
become a member of the family first and foremost. 
Our puppies are born and raised in our home where they receive a lot of tender loving care insuring they will be well socialized. We live on 740 acres of Ozark mountain forest, have 11 ponds and are 4 miles from a spring fed river where we take the time to work with each and every pup before they leave. To further assist us in evaluating the litter, a temperament test is performed at about sevens week of age. Prospective puppy buyers are interviewed, as we want our puppies to go to the best possible homes where they are responsibly cared for and loved. Before going to their new home, Black Bear Ridge Labrador puppies have received their first puppy vaccination, are de-wormed, and vet-checked.
All puppies are sent home with complete feeding and care instructions as well as educational materials to make the transition of the puppy from our home to your home as smoothly as possible.
